GK-Music,
Gordy is more
than just a GREAT Jedi Knight of
Drumming, he
is a Percussion Scientist.
More importantly than the music, he and his
wife are two of the nicest people you would ever meet in the entire
world! I would strongly endorse anything you find for sale on his website, I
have used many of the items myself. If
you are also a drummer, You NEED To Get
his Video and Book on the Open Close Method!!!!!!!
Tom
Hunter is truly a Great local Blues/Jazz Piano Player on
his way up. You will want to check out his web site,
if you have a chance to go hear him you should. Also, get
him to play for your private party or other event before he becomes too
popular. His "Big
Thunder" CD is one of my favorite CD's of all time, in my
opinion it is a classic blues recording! Buy
it Here, by clicking on this link!
The
Butanes were formed shortly after Curtis Obeda returned home
from Chicago in 1983. A blues protg,
Obeda began his career playing guitar with the Twin Cities Blues
luminaries of the late 70's and early 80's. They
have played all over the world and with many of the best artist in
blues.
The Bothers Curtis
is another Real Fun, Classic Blues band I would recommend!
Check out their web site for playing dates. It was
Curtis Blake who inspired me to want to be a professional musician!
The
Phil Aaron Trio,
features national recording artist Phil Aaron on piano, highly acclaimed
acoustic bassist, Tom Lewis and international performer, Jay Epstein on
drums. All three have extensive concert, recording and performance
experience on both local and national levels.
The
Rockin' Hollywoods
present "Solid Gold Rock & Roll" from the 1950's thru the
1980's with an energy and excitement that captivates audiences of all
ages. Formed in 1973, the band utilizes period costuming, very
physical choreography and staging, with great vocals and musicianship,
gaining them critical and popular praise.
Doug
Little, whether working his jazz quartet, composing new works
for classical ensembles, or leading one of his Latin groups such as
Seven Steps To Havana or Charanga Tropical, Doug Little presents music
that connects and moves the listener. recipient of numerous
fellowships and awards, Little has been an important force on the Twin
Cities jazz scene since 1991.
Debbie
Duncan may be considered the upper Midwest's
"best-kept-musical secret", but she has become a local legend
and treasure in her home of Minneapolis. Her personality, vitality, and
versatility all contribute to that fact. She is a terrific entertainer,
and this is certainly part of her appeal. Most importantly, however,
"she's a superb vocalist, probably the finest in the area/"
